  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) salted butter, cut into small pieces, plus more for greasing the baking dish

  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
